Diaryscape Biography of Heather graham photo:

Heather Graham has made herself known to the world by her roles in Boogie Nights, as Roller Girl, Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and in the Lenny Kravitz video for American Woman, as a dancer.

Heather Graham was born in Wisconsin in January. Heather has one sibling, a sister. Heather and her sister moved around a lot as children because their dad was in the FBI.

When Heather was in High School, she was teased because she was quiet and because all the other girls seemed to have developed before she had developed. Heather Graham was labeled a theater geek by others her age.

While having a tough time a school Heather began to also have a tough time at home. Heather’s mom would drive her to Hollywood for auditions, but soon the tension began to get so thick that she quit communicating with them all together.

When Heather graduated she was relieved, and she had managed to land the most talented title despite the “theatre geek” label.

When Heather started acting it wasn’t a glamorous start, she went from job, to job, to job. Eventually Heather Graham landed some various roles and bit parts in movies such as License To Drive and the critically acclaimed Drugstore Cowboy, which starred Matt Dillon. Heather also appeared on the small screen in the popular television drama Twin Peaks.

Heather Graham decided to enroll in the University of California at Los Angeles, after some success in Hollywood. Heather majored in English, but after only 2 years she dropped out.

While at UCLA Heather read a book titled The Brothers Karamazov, by Dostoevsky. When James Woods first spotted Heather Graham he was imporessed with this book, and in 1992 Heather obtained a small role in Diggstown, a film James Woods starred in.

Heather Graham spent the next few years playing diverse roles in films such as Six Degrees of Separation, which starred Will Smith, Don't Do It and Even Cowgirls Get The Blues. While Heather was furthering her acting career, she piqued the interest of filmmakers like James Toback and Jon Favreau. Apparently, Favreau took Heather swing dancing one night, and a year and a half later, she played Lorraine in his nearly legendary movie Swingers. Toback soon after had his opportunity to work with her and cast her in his film entitled Two Girls and A Guy.

In 1997 Heather received her career break she played "Rollergirl," a young porn actress who constantly wore roller-skates everywhere she went, in the true story of renowned porn actor John Holmes' life entitled Boogie Nights.

Since then Heather Graham has been in high demand in movies and made a cameo appearance in Scream 2, in which she spoofed Drew Barrymore's role as the popcorn popping first victim of the of the original film. Heather also has a modeling contract with Emanuel Ungaro.
Heather Graham will be seen again reprising her role of Felicity Shagwell in the third installment of Austin Powers -- Goldmember -- as well as Hope Springs, Killing Me Softly, and The Guru.
